TUITION AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Tuition Support

Bialik is able to offer our families the following tuition support programs:

Tuition Support

Bialik offers tuition assistance to an y family that qualifies under the guidelines provided by the UJA Federation’s Julia & Henry Koschitzky Centre for Jewish Education for students in JK to Grade 8. This program is known as Day School Tuition Assistance. A fully confidential committee re views all tuition assistance requests and support is based on each family’s financial situation.

Generations Trust Scholarship

Bialik participates in the UJA Federation program — the Generations Trust Scholarship — making Jewish day school more affordable for many families in our community. If you have not qualified in the past for tuition assistance nor considere d the possibility of tuition relief, now is the time to explore a Generations Trust Scholarship.

How does the scholarship work? The scholarship sets a household tuition cap linked to one’s household income. This cap represents a family’s maximum total tuition fee for up to three students. It will not change if you have one, two, or three students enrolled.

Who qualifies? Applicants must ha ve two or three children between JK and Gr ade 8 enrolled at the same time in one or more of UJA- funded Jewish day schools. Want to know if y our family qualifies? Use the quick and anon ymous scholarship calculator to estimate your eligibility and how much you can expect to pay in day school tuition with a Generations Trust Scholarship.

Discovery Grant (Himel Branch)

The Discovery Grant — a new UJA Community Scholarship — will be offered to new families who are entering Bialik’s Himel Branch in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years.

The grant will provide a $3,600 tuition reduction per year for up to three years for new students who are the only child in their family to attend Jewish day school and are enrolling in JK – Grade 2.

To be eligible, applicant families must not benefit from another other form of day school tuition assistance, must have a minimum household income of $120,000, and must meet UJA’s income eligibility guidelines, based on the family’s employment income, self-employment income, and passively earned income, such as investments or trust income.

Please note that families can only receive a Discovery Grant after being accepted at our Himel Branch.
