Bialik Hebrew Day School is a thriving Jewish day school educating over 1,200 students at two branches in the GTA. Bialik’s success has been built on a program that blends a uniquely relevant Jewish mission with academic excellence.

The following roles are currently open:

General Studies Educators

Bialik seeks dynamic and passionate educators to join our exemplary General Studies teaching faculty. We have openings for teachers, assistants, resource teachers and supply work. Positions are located at both our Vaughan and our Midtown Toronto Branches.

  • Collaborative, creative professional who can bring their teaching experience to Bialik’s STEM environment
  • Flexibility, with the ability to adapt to online and in-class teaching environments.
  • Relationship builder who can communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.

  • Well organized and detail oriented.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education 
  • OCT certification

Jewish Studies Educators

Bialik seeks dynamic and passionate Jewish Studies classroom and resource teachers to join our exemplary Jewish Studies  faculty at both our Vaughan and Midtown Toronto Branches. 

Requirements include:

  • Native or fluent Hebrew speakers with relevant experience and/or credentials, qualified to teach in a Hebrew immersion environment.
  • Collaborative, creative and flexible professionals who can bring their experience to Bialik’s developing STEM environment that encompasses the teaching of Jewish Studies.
  • Knowledge of, and experience to teach a curriculum that encompasses Hebrew language and literature, Bible, Jewish history, holidays and prayer.
  • Ability to foster in our students a strong Jewish identity and a strong connection to Israel. 
  • Ability to embody Jewish values and teach the customs and traditions of Shabbat and other holidays.
  • Ability to build relationships and effectively communicate with parents and colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and work ethic.
  • Organized and detail oriented.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education (classroom and resource teachers)
  • Special education specialists or equivalent qualification (resource teacher)
  • OCT certification or equivalent  (classroom and resource teachers)
