Elementary French Teacher

Part time position – Commencing August 2018 at our Himel Branch in Vaughan

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a core French program (grades 1-6) that is dynamic and communication based. We are looking for teacher who can create an engaging learning environment that will enable all students to learn with joy and develop the confidence to express themselves. We are seeking individuals who are willing to try new things, energetic, technologically skilled, creative, and who can communicate with ease and confidence.

 We are inviting candidates with the following qualifications to apply:

  • Ontario Teacher Certification with Primary/Junior Division qualifications (BEd)
  • Knowledge of the Ontario French curriculum, the AIM program and Growing Success Policies
  • Willingness for integrating technology into the learning environment
  • Fluency in both French and English

Event Coordinator/Administrative Assistant

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced and organized Event Coordinator to manage all school events, 3rd party rentals and work with the Advancement Department.

The position also entails providing support to the school office staff, helping to service parents and students.

This person will work at our Viewmount Branch at 2760 Bathurst Street.


  • Plan and manage all events
  • Oversee all events and act quickly to resolve problems
  • Establish relationships with current vendors and research new vendors as appropriate
  • Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms
  • General administrative duties for the Advancement office
  • General office duties


  • Successful experience organizing events
  • Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Outstanding communication (written and oral) skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Highly developed organization and problem-solving skills, including the ability to multi-task
  • A high degree of independence, tact, initiative, discretion and judgment
  • Proficient in MS Office, Gmail, databases
  • A college diploma or undergraduate degree
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience
