Bialik’s EQAO results top local schools
Every year, Grade 3 and 6 students in Ontario public schools participate in the province’s Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) testing. Bialik is the only GTA Jewish day school that participates in the assessment and publishes its results. It is one of the ways we hold ourselves accountable to our commitment to academic excellence, and to ensure we are delivering on our promise to prepare students for their future grades in the best ways possible.
Bialik students consistently achieve scores that exceed the results of public schools in Ontario. In addition, our branches far outpace provincial averages. These results speak to our outstanding faculty and their delivery of a superb academic program.
The results reveal that:
- In Mathematics, Bialik students’ Grade 3 and Grade 6 scores are as much as 27 percentage points higher than the Ontario average.
- Reading scores in both Grades 3 and 6 rate at 92 percent in Grade 3 and 97 percent in Grade 6.
- Writing scores are similarly high, with 91 percent of students scoring above the provincial expectation in Grade 3 and 99 percent in Grade 6.
The results are even more impressive when considering that students at Bialik spend half of their school day on Jewish Studies. Please look at the charts for more information on our EQAO results.
