NEWS RELEASE: The STEM Magic You’ve Been Waiting For

Dear Bialik Families,

We are thrilled to be able to share some exciting news with you about our new STEM Learning Commons. Some may call this the best, worst-kept secret in the history of the school!

It will likely come as no surprise to you that we are now announcing the launch of our Vision for Innovation campaign to renovate our facilities — enabling us to build Viewmount’s new, state-of-the-art STEM Learning Commons.

Problem-based learning and design thinking have been infused into all areas of your children’s education. The STEM Learning Commons is a space that will facilitate this innovative teaching and learning, and will ensure that our facilities stay on pace with this powerful program. We are very fortunate to be able to renovate the main floor of the Viewmount Branch, locating the STEM Learning Commons at the front and centre of the school, where it will be a focal point for students’ learning. What an important statement this makes about our commitment to cutting-edge programming in all areas of our curriculum — in general studies, Jewish studies and Israel education.

Our beautiful, open-concept design, spanning 3500-square-feet, will use glass walls to create a bright, spacious, interconnected and seamless environment. Together with our robust, progressive programming, this new amenity will set Bialik apart in preparing your children, from JK through Grade 8, as 21st century learners, Jewish thinkers and change makers in our community and beyond.

In the coming week, you will receive our direct mail requesting your participation in our Annual Campaign for Excellence. This year, we strongly encourage you to make a meaningful gift — designated to the STEM Learning Commons — and be part of making this transformational project come to life. With our ambitious goal of $1.8 million to complete our Vision for Innovation, we need full participation by our families and friends.

We invite you to join Yarden‘18 and Shira’15 Aronson’s parents, Ronnie and Debra, whose leadership gift provides inspiration for the success of this cutting-edge learning facility.

Your gift will align your family with those who believe in our mission and vision, and who fully appreciate the remarkable experiences of every Bialik student, each day,

We hope you will share our excitement as, together, we create a learning environment that will spark your children’s imagination and ignite their creativity.

Warm regards,
