Board of Directors

The Board of Directors ensures the fulfillment of Bialik's mission and philosophy. It sets (organizational, not operational) school policies that govern the implementation of school plans and purposes within Bialik's four pillars: 
Ahavat Israel
Academic Excellence
Jewish Values and Mentshlechkeit
Accessibility
The board is responsible for ensuring the financial health of the school, the educational standards of the school and hiring and firing the director of education.

Board members must sit on at least one board committee. They must be contributors in good standing of UJA Federation and make a financial contribution to Bialik.

Board membership

The board members are elected for a two-year term. There are 18 elected parent representatives, 12 appointed representatives from the Labour Zionist Movement, up to 8 Life Members, 1 Chair and 1 Vice-Chair of the PTA, 6 elected members of Bialik (parents, past parents, adult alumni or community members) and the past 3 presidents of the Board of Directors.
